Lipinski Violin
Deserves a special prosecutor

MCC believes a special prosecutor should be appointed to the matters of the Lipinski violin theft.

An independent special prosecutor assigned to remove any improprieties and deals made by various government officials, possibly under duress, to safely secure the Lipinski violin.

This case further needs to be removed from the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office jurisdiction to ensure the following:

·       Safety of the public

·       Unbiased, effective prosecution, free from political and personal interest.

·       And of course , regarding public statements

      ABA  Standard 3-1.4 Public Statements

   (a) A prosecutor should not make or authorize the making of an extrajudicial statement that a reasonable person would expect to be disseminated by means of public communication if the prosecutor knows or reasonably should know that it will have a substantial likelihood of prejudicing a criminal proceeding.
(b) A prosecutor should exercise reasonable care to prevent investigators, law enforcement personnel, employees, or other persons assisting or associated with the prosecutor from making an extrajudicial statement that the prosecutor would be prohibited from making under this Standard.

Like so many other cases going through the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, too much information has been released to the public by MPD and the D.A.'s office before trial, undermining and tainting the legal process.

Appoint an independent prosecutor now!
