Larry Johnson-Peace Poet of Milwaukee
Illuminating Hidden Truths

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Larry Johnson, the original peace poet of Milwaukee.

Larry in the past has spent his money placing billboard ads around Milwaukee to promote peace and harmony.

Larry's past ads were about the dangers of cocaine, and the senseless violence and murders that plagued Milwaukee.

Meeting Larry today brought to mind the Milwaukee I knew in the early sixties, the respect for life, the compassion for our fellow neighbors, and the many good people from all the neighborhoods we grew up in.

Larry Johnson is still active and is considering placing more billboards up with his own money to inspire peace in the community through his poetry.

Larry hasn't given up hope on Milwaukee yet.

Did I tell you where I met Larry today?

Larry Johnson, the peace poet of Milwaukee was at the Concertina on 37th street to attend a conceal carry class.

Carry on Larry, we are with you!

  1. Larry Johnson , the Peace Poet! He spent his
hard earned money on billboards promoting peace through
his poetry. It says a lot about this man and his desire to
see the city and the world live in peace!

It is obvious that , in every corner of the world, the evolution
Of the concept of peace is in a progressive stage of pathological destruction.
Larry now feels that he is threatened, as many do, and many are! Larry
Is taking the class and he is doing it the right and lawful way. And, to me,
as ironic as it appears, makes perfect sense!
This wonderful man, the Peace Poet, knows,as he always has known,
that society now must take the concept of peace into it's own hands.
These hands now carry a weapon.
Whatever it takes to find peace.......even if the Peace Poet has to "pack a piece".
    I am all for it!
His new saying should be "We AIM for peace! "

  2. BLB, how true and accurate your comments are.

I was at the Concertina that morning, that crowd was friendly, courteous, and orderly.

Mr. Johnson was unaware that the conceal carry class had already been filled, but still remained to converse with many of the members of Wisconsin Carry.

For the record, Mayor Nero Barrett and D.A. Nero Chisholm failed to attend the Concertina event.

Approximately 50 unarmed citizens, me included, attended to show support for the establishment, including a crazy (in a good way)banker from Elkhorn.

    In Milwaukee:
    NO PIECE, NO PEACE !
