Meet Police Chief Ed Flynn: Milwaukee Crime Lord, Citizen Disarmament Advocate

Flynn, “My message to my troops is if you see anybody carrying a gun on the streets of Milwaukee, we’ll put them on the ground, take the gun away, and then decide whether you have a right to carry it,” Flynn said a few years ago in response to a statement from Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen recognizing that residents of the state have a right to carry firearms openly.

Flynn clearly sees himself as commanding an army of occupation. In practical terms, he is less a warlord than a crime lord who presides over an officially sanctioned street gang
The Milwaukee Police Department holds down the number two spot in the national police brutality rankings. Its distinguished contributions in the field of state-sponsored crime include a lengthy and growing list of suspicious deaths of people in police custody.
.In July 2010, a single mother in Milwaukee (whose name has not been publicly disclosed) was raped by Officer Ladmarald Cates. After someone vandalized the woman’s home, she made the common mistake of calling the police in the entirely unfounded belief that they would be of help. Cates was the first on the scene.

Acting on instinct and experience, the predator recognized an exploitable opportunity. The officer ordered the boyfriend to go to a nearby convenience store to buy some bottled water. Once he had isolated the victim, Cates maneuvered her into the bathroom,
Last September, four of Flynn’s “troops” who had followed his orders with exceptional zeal were charged with felonies for assaulting and strip-searching citizens both in the street and in district stations

  2. Evil flourishes where good people do nothing.
Flynn violated his oath of office.
Flynn must be removed from office to protect the public's trust in government.
On the issue of Flynn, we are not being unbiased, he has to go.

  3. In March of 2006, Eddy was appointed as Police Commissioner in Springfield, Massachusetts. During his tenure, his uncompromising style alienated many of the members of that department. 18 months into his 5-year contract, it was revealed that Flynn was a finalist for the chief of police job in Milwaukee. He was condemned by elected officials in Springfield, and the 30 day notice required in his contract was waved; as was Eddy.
In his later years Eddy has been quick to jump from one obligation to another, leading some to believe that Fast Eddy has a poor moral’ compass. Eddy has a B.A. in history as well as masters in Criminal Justice; now you take Criminal Justice, to some this would be an oxymoron, but Eddy has turned this into an applied science, and crooked his way to a reappointment as Milwaukee Police Chief.
In May 2012, a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel investigative report revealed that more than 500 incidents since 2009 were misreported to the FBI as minor assaults and not included in the city's violent crime rate data. Hundreds of beatings, stabbings and child abuse cases were missing from the count by which the Milwaukee Police Department bases their statistical reporting on. The errors in reporting would have changed Chief Flynn's claim that violent crime had decreased by 2.3% in 2011 to an increase by 1.1%. Governor Scott Walker joined state and city officials in calling for an independent audit of Milwaukee police crime data
Eddy has lived apart from his estranged wife since March 2006; Susan has remained in Virginia, sighting her career and desire to stay close to family for that choice; family, what’s Eddy, chopped meat, or that bad fish in the barrel.
It would seem clear that Eddy was a bad choice from the start, and only continues to get worse. With all the facts as we know them, why the hell does Fast Eddy still have a job? Politics does make strange bed fellows.
    DPH, IMHO Post.
